My screen is black, what do I do?

If your screen is black, this could be an issue with the screen itself, video cables or with the Media Player.
  1. The first thing to check is that the Display is plugged in. If it is not, please do so, and power it on.
  2. If the Display is plugged in, check whether there is a power indicator (usually an LED on the front or bottom edge of the screen)
    1. If there is a Power LED displayed, is it red? A red LED could indicate that the Display is plugged in but not powered on. Use the Display's remote control to power on the screen.
    2. If the Display appears to be powered on but the screen is black, it could be because of a wrong Input source. Use the Display's remote control to cycle through the different Input ports, pausing briefly on each one to allow it to connect to the relevant source (if present).
  3. If you look very closely, is there an image on screen, but it is very faint? This could be an indication that the Display has a defective backlight; please contact UR-Channel.
  4. If the screen appears to be working correctly but still not displaying the relevant content, it could be a problem with the Media Player. Reboot the Media Player by powering it off, waiting 5 seconds and powering it on again. If this did not resolve the problem, or if you have no power button on your Media Player, try carefully unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds and plug it back in.
  5. If you continue experiencing difficulty getting power to the screens, please check your electrical panel for that circuit which provides power to the Display and ensure the breaker has not been tripped.
